Creating a Strong Community with Arts & Crafts
At Generations Senior Living, we love keeping our residents engaged with fun monthly projects that encourage both socialization and creativity.
Arts and crafts projects can be both a therapeutic creative outlet and a way to boost cognitive function and dexterity in seniors. Working on creative projects together is a great way to share joy and reduce stress while building friendships with our residents. Often painting and drawing can bring back happy memories from childhood and craft projects can give seniors a valuable sense of purpose and togetherness with those around them.
This month at our Strongsville location, students from St. Joseph’s School joined our seniors in a Valentine’s Day themed craft that was fun for all ages.
